El pollito pio spanish lyrics

The song was characterized by a simple and direct melodic line. The structure of the track is similar to that of many folk songs and rhymes, with a series of stanzas that, in its enunciation, takes part of the previous stanzas, becoming longer and often difficult to remember. This structure, called «cumulative lullaby», is typical of many folk songs and children’s songs, but can also be found in some pop songs.
Similar to the song «Old MacDonald Had a Farm», where several animals are used, «Il pulcino Pio» contained the sounds of a hen, a rooster, a turkey, a pigeon, a cat, a dog, a goat, a sheep, a cow and a bull. The song ended with a tractor running over the chick, although in the revenge song the chick Pio took revenge for what had happened.
Following the success of the song, a faster version was produced with a music video, created by Federico Mancosu’s animation group. It was released online in May 2012. On YouTube the music video attracted more than 6 million views in the following three months and 45 million by December 2012.

It is well known the virality of videos like Gangnam Style, of the Korean comedian and singer PSY, or those of artists like Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga. The success within the platform is often a mystery and does not depend on marketing.
In part, the success of a video on YouTube depends on a stroke of luck, but also on knowing or perceiving what can mobilize the audience at certain times, although in many cases the effect can be negative, as happened with the social outcry against a film about Muhammad. (See related note)
Now, it turns out that a double platinum single in Italy, «Il Pulcino Pio», has become a hit on the Web after being translated into 20 languages, including Spanish, and is already a hit in each of its versions.
The virality of «El Pollito Pio» has reached such a point that its Spanish version is about to reach 7 million reproductions on YouTube alone, in addition to the overwhelming success of its original Italian version.
Benvenuti and Moroldo seem to have discovered the recipe for a song, but mainly, a video uploaded on YouTube to become a viral material, hypnotically watched by millions of people.
