David Grann (New York, 1967) is a writer and journalist for The New Yorker, and has been described as the worthy heir to Truman Capote. His first book, Z The Lost City, became a best seller translated into more than 25 languages. Grann has received the Edgar Allan Poe Award for Best Fact Crime, and has been a finalist for the National Book Award.
