Tve directo la 2

The 1television channel

Metrópolis, is a weekly program about culture and contemporary art that, since April 21, 1985, has been broadcasted on La 2 of TVE. Throughout its more than 1000 chapters it has maintained the original format, a thematic program without presenter of 25 minutes of duration. Although at some points in its career it experienced alterations in its format, it is precisely this that has turned Metropolis into a cult television program and a collector’s item. It is also often used as educational material in Faculties of Fine Arts and Image Science.

La 2 a la carte

In June 2010, RTVE’s Board of Directors turned La 2 into a strictly cultural channel, with the aim of positioning it as a reference channel for creativity and talent, giving more access and voice to the citizens. Since then, La 2 no longer broadcasts its sports programming (which is now shown on Teledeporte) nor its children’s programming (which is now shown on Clan). Instead, it introduced cultural programming from the Cultural-es channel.
Don’t miss its most famous programs, such as Redes, where every week you can watch live interesting research and amazing studies that will take you deep into the mysteries of the world and the human being.
